Event Description Toys are on parade at the 24th Annual Star City Holiday Parade to be held on Saturday, December 6, 2008!Friday, December 5, 6-8 p.m. Parade Preview Night Centennial Mall and inside Pershing Free public event More information Saturday, December 6 Pre-parade entertainment, 10 a.m. Step-off, 11 a.m. Free public event Reserve your VIP Seat for Parade morning! Giant helium balloons, spectacular floats and Santa and Mrs. Claus will be coming your way on Saturday, December 6. The holiday season would not be complete without the Star City Holiday Parade presented by Verizon Wireless and produced by Updowntowners and the City of Lincoln. Toys will come alive as they make their way through downtown Lincoln! Bring the whole family and be truly enchanted as you see larger-than-life toys, brightly-colored balloons and characters parading down the street. You also won’t want to miss the sounds of marching bands as you experience the sights and sounds of pirates, Cookie Monster, Elmo and many more exciting toys! Our parade ends with a visit from Santa and Mrs. Claus. Santa and his most dedicated elves as well as the U.S. Postal Service will collect your letters to Santa along the Parade route. Make sure you include a return address, and he will be sure to write you back before the holidays!
